Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Acuario supplies, installs and maintains water-filtration systems in Mexico. This policy explains what personal information the Acuario app collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to customers, referral partners, technicians and staff who use the app.

Who is responsible for your information

Acuario is responsible for the personal information handled through this app. You can reach us at any time at hola@acuario.io.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address and profile photo, which we receive when you sign in with Google, plus your phone or WhatsApp number and preferred language.

Service information: the address where a system is installed, an optional map location and photos of the property entrance so a technician can find it, water-test results, service history, quotes and invoices, and payment records such as deposits and receipts you upload.

Referral-program information: for referral partners, the details of the clients you refer (name and contact information you provide), your commission history, how you would like to be paid (a label such as a bank nickname and a reference — never your full banking credentials), and, if you issue invoices, tax details such as your RFC.

Messages: notes and messages exchanged in the app, and conversations with our automated assistant, including WhatsApp messages sent to our business number and voice notes you choose to send.

Technical information: essential cookies that keep you signed in, and basic logs used to keep the service secure and working.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account, to schedule and carry out installations and maintenance, to prepare quotes and invoices, to operate the referral program and calculate and record commissions, to send you notifications you have not turned off, and to provide support.

We do not use your personal information for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

Your local Acuario distributor and the technicians assigned to your service, so they can serve you and, for partners, pay your commissions.

Service providers that operate the app on our behalf: Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Twilio (WhatsApp), Stripe (payments where used), and Anthropic and OpenAI (the in-app assistant and voice transcription). These providers may only process information to provide their service to us.

Authorities, when we are legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

We keep account, service and commission records for as long as your account is active and afterwards for the period required by Mexican tax and commercial law. You may ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep.

Your rights

Under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, you may request access to your personal information, correct it if it is inaccurate, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use (ARCO rights). You may also withdraw consent for notifications at any time from your profile, or by replying STOP to a WhatsApp message.

To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@acuario.io and we will respond.

Security

Access is protected by sign-in, and information is separated by role and region so that people only see the records they need. Uploaded files are stored privately and shared through temporary links. No system is perfect, but we work to protect your information and to correct problems quickly.

Children

The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page and, when the change is significant, tell you in the app.
